Ribbon Cutting and Dedication, July 8, 2008
State Senator Steven Panagiotakos and State Representative Geoff Hall cut
a ribbon held by children of Westford, celebrating the one year
anniversary of the Westford Farmers Market on the Common. Also on hand
were supporters Bonnie Ticknell representing the First Parish Church and Patricia Mason of Roudenbush Community Center, Zac Cataldo, Chairman of the Westford Board of Health, and Gloria Gilbert, Founder of the market. A special presentation was made in honor of Ellen Harde and
her husband for their dedication to the beautification and livelihood
of the common. Due to their efforts and scores of volunteers, a
historic replica of the Victorian bandstand is now in place, along with
an irrigation system for the common. Also attending were the many
dedicated volunteers who work hard each week to bring the market
together. The music and vendors made the day a complete success. Stop
in next week and don't miss a thing!

An afternoon thunderstorm did not dampen the spirits of customers and vendors at week two of the Farmers Market. Come next week for the Grand Opening Celebration!

Opening Day, June 24 2008
Opening Day was a wonderful success! There was a great mix of vendors, entertainment, friends and family. The sun was great for most of the market, but around 5pm the sky opened up and the rain and hail caused everyone to run for shelter. We are putting in an order for better weather next week. Be sure to stop by!
